Following two recent visits to the Erwin Hymer Centre to have some work done on my Hymer caravan, I would like to let you know how impressed I have been with the service received.

My first visit was on the 2nd January, to have two faulty lights attended to under warranty. Prior to this visit I was in touch by telephone and email with your Service Advisor Olivia Meany, who set up an account for me and booked me in for the work. On the day, after checking in at the Service desk, I took my caravan around to the rear of the workshop where two members of staff came out to unhitch the ‘van. Before they could do so, an electrical technician called Alex appeared, had a quick look at the problem and diagnosed the fault. Within a few minutes the faulty lights were replaced, job done – that’s what I call efficient service!

On the same visit, I asked Alex to take a quick look at a minor upgrade to the electrics that I had in mind and to give me an estimate of the cost. He passed the information on labour and materials to Olivia before I left, and the quote was in my email inbox when I returned home. Again, a quick and efficient response.

I then booked the caravan in for a return visit on the 15th January, to have the electrical upgrade done. The technician this time was Colin and we spent some time discussing the best way to implement the wiring. I had a pre-conceived plan for this but Colin came up with an alternative solution that I hadn’t considered, which was clearly a better and more efficient way of doing it. We agreed on his plan.

While the work was being done I made myself comfortable in the customer lounge, pleased to find the daily papers, coffee and – best of all – complimentary sandwiches. I had a very early start to the day with only a light breakfast, so I was delighted to be able to help myself to a tasty sandwich. Many thanks for this nice touch.

On completion of the work Colin called me to inspect the results to ensure that I was satisfied (I was). Furthermore, I thought that the cost for the work was very reasonable. The Service Advisor on the day, Rebecca, who was very pleasant, delivered the final surprise: a complementary wash, which I gladly accepted.

All-in-all I have been most impressed with the helpful staff and the high standard of facilities at your Centre and I hope to return in the future for all my caravan maintenance and warranty work. Please pass on my compliments to your staff who have provided such excellent customer service.

Hi Erik, we just wanted to say thank you so much for the time you took to explain all the benefits and applications of the many accessories we discussed, people often try to blind you with science when discussing these technical items but we understood everything and feel we have now made the best decisions, We cannot wait to collect our new motorhome!

I wanted to drop you all a line to say how impressed I have been with EVERYONE on the Team, there at Travelworld. Everyone was so professional and helpful! I was also really impressed with the work finished. Thanks so much for replacing the kitchen tap, and also the Solar charging unit. Which seems to be working…but we’ve not had much sun, so it’s still not hit the 100% Battery level mark! Honestly, I can say it was a pleasure dealing with you all and I left the place a very happy woman! Thanks again for everything.
