Water Ingress Tests and Warranty Periods Due To Restrictions From Coronavirus

We have had the same question several times about water ingress tests and warranty periods due to the restrictions caused by the coronavirus.

Here is a brief summary from Hymer:

Water ingress tests:

If the water ingress test is due on your motorhome, but because of the Coronavirus it cannot be carried out in time, please report this to [email protected] so that Hymer can be informed

Only written requests can be accepted.

The 6 months grace period can be used during this time

The duration and the deadlines to carry out the water ingress tests do NOT change or extend as a result, the water ingress tests are still subject to the applicable regulations and must be carried out on time.

Warranty Periods:

Please also report any issues about warranty periods during this time to [email protected]

Hymer can only accept a warranty claim application if there is a written request or notification from ourselves

This does NOT change or extend the terms of the warranty, the warranty is still subject to the applicable provisions.

This regulation is initially valid until April 20, 2020 and will be extended if the situation so requires.
