Latest news from Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld regarding Covid-19

Since the recent Government update on 10th May, Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld have been carefully considering the best steps and procedures to put into place to ensure a safe return to work for their staff and a safe environment for customers. 

Although the premises will remain closed throughout the rest of May whilst we prepare all areas with the appropriate social distancing policies, and make PPE available to all staff and customers, it is estimated the doors will reopen for appointment only viewings from June 1st.

ORIGINAL CORONA VIRUS POST BELOW

The company is closely following strict guidance from the UK government and public health England on COVID-19.

We will continue to share information on infection control procedures with customers, staff and other visitors to our showrooms and service centre. It is of vital importance for us to be in a position to ensure any and all procedures are in place to support the health and well-being of our customers and staff, and this is our top priority.

Extra measures have been put into place throughout the business to help combat the spread of the virus and to ensure customer safety.

Hand sanitiser stations are positioned at the entrance to the main reception and toilets. And the cleaning of high contact points is being undertaken more frequently.

On a practical level, we have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures for all hand level hard surfaces throughout our building and we continue to raise awareness of good hygiene practices promoting regular thorough hand washing and information on the handling of coughs and sneezes.

We have also implemented the following:

  1. Minimal contact experience – Appointment based where if necessary there is no need to go beyond our car park – We can meet you there with your choice of vehicle that you have identified via our website and personalised videos created by our Expert sales team.
  2. No visit purchasing. As mentioned once you have chosen your desired motorhome or campervan via the website and video assistance. We can process the remainder of the transaction without you having to visit our showroom.
  3. All our stock is re cleaned after visitors have viewed them to ensure the utmost safety of all visitors.
  4. We are also happy to tailor the visit to suit your individual requirements – your suggestions will be welcomed and we are happy to work with you to help you find your new motorhome or campervan.
