Travelworld adds Laika brand to range

Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld has added award-winning Laika motorhomes and camper vans to its offering, giving customers an even greater choice of premium motorhomes and camper vans.

The luxury Stafford-based dealership will stock some of Laika’s most popular ranges, including Kosmo, Kreos and Ecovip.

The Italian brand, part of the Erwin Hymer Group, has been manufacturing stunning motorhomes since 1964 and is famous for extraordinary craftmanship and sophisticated design.

Ross Edwards, Managing Director at Travelworld, said: “We are delighted to be adding Laika vehicles to our portfolio, giving our customers more options when searching for their dream motorhome.

“Laika has a long history of creating stylish and practical camper vans, low-profiles, and Integrated motorhomes. We have selected the vehicles that we know will prove very popular with the UK market and can’t wait to let people have a look.”

Travelworld is just one of a small number of other dealerships in the UK that are approved to stock new Laika vehicles.

Travelworld became an Erwin Hymer Group trading partner in 2013 and announced exclusivity with the group’s brands in 2015, and the dealership has exclusively sold premium German vehicles from four of the Group’s leading manufactures – Carado, Dethleffs, HYMER and Niesmann+Bischoff ever since.

Ross added: “Being part of the Erwin Hymer Group gives us our customers unrivalled access to its best vehicles. We are now the country’s largest HYMER dealership, the only privately owned Erwin Hymer Centre in the world – and the UK Centre of Excellence for the brand.

“While continuing to be the go-to location for these famous German brands, I’m sure our customers will be very excited that we have extended our offering by partnering with an Italian industry leader in Laika.”

Laika has won a host of awards for its motorhomes, including the Red Dot design accolade for its Ecovip motorhome in the Product Design – Motorhomes and Caravans category.

Along with stunning exterior and interior design, the Ecovip offers perfect insulation, guaranteeing ideal temperatures and comfort from early summer to late autumn.

The Kosmo range, meanwhile, offers open and spacious accommodation with adapted length and extended height, while the Kreos concept combines luxury, technology, and versatility.

Travelworld, found just off junction 14 of the M6, expects to have the first Laika vehicles in its showroom from September.
