They pride themselves in knowing what makes apples special and you can enjoy one of the tours to explore how the cyder is made. At this attraction you can enjoy a tractor ride around the Orchards and samples more than forty varieties of wine, cyder and preserves.

St Agnes Museum

For people who would like to learn more about the local area a trip to St Agnes Museum will be worth doing. This museum is packed full of fascinating information and artefacts about the Parish of St Agnes. This area has a rich history in the mining industry and this is shown in the detailed model that depicts the local harbour. The collections at this museum include collections depicting farming, religion, folklore, archaeology and domestic bygones. There are also collections that show what life was like during the Victorian era.

Trerice

A visit to Trerice near Newquay will provide a relaxing day out as you wander around this Elizabethan manor house with its beautiful gardens and fine interiors. This manor house is an intimate Cornish gem and it remains unchanged by the advances in building fashions over the centuries.  Nowadays the renowned stillness and tranquillity of this manor is popular with the many visitors that it attracts.

The coastal walk from Perranporth to St Agnes is a lovely three and a half mile route which takes you through some of the mining heritage of the area. During this walk you can enjoy the spectacular views and also explore the wildflowers and wildlife of the local area. There is a number of beaches in this area which are the ideal location to relax and unwind. There is also a lot of walk and cycle routes around this area which are great fun to get out and explore.

Chapel Porth Beach

Chapel Porth beach is a wild cost beach which is rich in legend and heritage. This is vastly a low tide beach and it has a sea of glowing heather, however this area was once an industrial landscape. There are buildings perched on the cliffs which show the copper and tin mining past of the area.

Holywell Bay Golf

There is a lot of things for families to see and do in Perranporth and one of these is Holywell Bay Golf, which is home to two eighteen hole golf courses. There is something at this golf course to suit all levels. This golf course will be a great day out for any keen golfers with no dress code and no need to book either. There is a family friendly course but there is also a more competitive course therefore something to suit all abilities.

Lappa Valley Steam Railway

Lappa valley steam railway is another great attraction for a day out and it suitable for all ages. This attraction gives you the opportunity to jump on board a steam engine and take a journey through the lovely Cornish countryside. There is also a nature park with a vast amount to see and do. There is a further two railways to explore which makes this an ideal day out for people who like trains. The younger members of the family can enjoy running around and letting off a bit of steam in one of the many activity zones. There is also a mini golf course and a lake where you can go paddling or canoeing.
