Travelworld begin the enormous task of moving to the new Stafford site from our Telford home on Thursday 22nd November 2018. We intend staying open for business throughout the move. Naturally this will mean some Travelworld relocation disruptions to the levels of service available in different departments. Please read below for details on affected departments throughout the Travelworld relocation process:
IMPORTANT: Sales will still be operational until further notice.
The workshop are not accepting retail/warranty customer bookings after 17:00hrs on Friday 16th November (as staff are packing up the workshop and performing sales preparation tasks only) the workshop will re-open at Stafford on Monday 3rd December 2018 at 8am.
Site wide and customer areas especially
From Monday 5th November 2018: staff will (slowly) commence the breaking down of the site i.e. removing banners, site advertising signage, some fixtures and fittings etc. customers need to be advised that this work is ongoing and there may be some disruption in the customer areas of the site whilst this work takes place.
Friday 9th November 2018: Travelworld are holding a staff training day (full day) for ALL customer facing staff, the Travelworld sales, service & parts teams will be unavailable whilst training takes place. There will be a minimal skeleton staff available to help with enquiries but this is very limited on this day.
From Monday 12th November 2018: Some vehicle and parts stock will be taken to Stafford, customers therefore need to check with staff if the vehicle/part they would like to view in onsite before they set-off, if needed a member of the team will meet the customer at Stafford.
From Monday 19th November 2018: Dismantling of the site begins in earnest for the move, there will be disruption in all customer areas as we dismantle and pack away displays and showroom furniture etc.
Thursday 22nd: Removal vehicles will be attending site and loading up several times per day to take goods & equipment to Stafford, there will be disruption in all areas and movement of large volumes of equipment.
Friday 23rd: 16:30 hrs the telephone system & all onsite I.T services will be disconnected, there will be no landline or internet services on site throughout the weekend and they will only come back on line at Stafford 8am Monday (26th November): during this period the following mobile telephone numbers may be contacted by customers for sales enquiries only:
Monday 26th November 2018: 50% of Staff at either site, no phone lines at Telford, I.T and phones operational at Stafford on 01785 878787
Staff setting up offices, show room, workshop and all customer areas of the business throughout the week. Sales department remain open all week at Stafford (some vehicle stock may still be at Telford).
3rd December 2018: Workshop and Parts re-open at Stafford and everything should be pretty much back to normal!
