Lockdown forces postponement of motorhome event

A motorhome event featuring some of the world’s most luxurious models has been delayed due to coronavirus.

Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld was due to host its Luxury Brand Event displaying motorhomes from respected brands including Carado, Dethleffs, HYMER and Niesmann + Bischoff throughout February.

However, the start of the third national lockdown has meant the motorhome event has been delayed until later in the year, a date is yet to be confirmed.

Ross Edwards, managing director of Travelworld, said: “It’s disappointing to cancel the Luxury Brand Event but its entirely the right decision.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and announce a new date for our event as soon as possible.

“When the time is right, we look forward to welcoming current and new customers to our showroom in Stafford, just off junction 14 of the M6, to view the very latest in spacious and luxurious motorhomes.”

Some of the exciting motorhomes to be showcased when the event is held include the brand new HYMER B-Class MasterLine T 780, a luxury two-berth which was unveiled for the first time at Travelworld in October.

The new Niesmann+Bischoff iSmove 6.9E is sure to turn heads, while Dethleffs has released the Globetrotter XLI I 7850 DBM 90th edition to mark its 90th anniversary and top of the bill for Carado in 2021 is the launch of the CV 600 Clever Plus Edition.

Also in the showroom will be the new Dethleffs Esprit model range, while visitors will also be able to get up close and personal with another new model, the Carado T459, which has a rear island bed and is the first Carado model to include a face-to-face lounge.

The showroom at Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld is currently closed to visitors due to the coronavirus lockdown, although virtual tours of vehicles and services – including MOTs – are still available.
