Travelworld Opens Its Doors Again

One of the UK’s biggest motorhome dealerships is embracing a continued surge in demand as Travelworld opens its doors to the general public while retaining measures to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues.

Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld is now allowed to welcome visitors to its showroom at its Staffordshire headquarters for the first time in 2021 to coincide with the opening of non-essential retail on the government’s roadmap.

All Covid-secure measures, which Travelworld has had its place since the start of the pandemic, continue while staff will also be required to take two lateral flow tests per week.

Thermal Imaging Cameras, utilising technology which effectively checks the temperature of all visitors, will remain in operation.

Face masks remain mandatory in the showroom, apart from those with medical exemptions.

Ross Edwards, managing director of Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld, said: “We are thrilled to have once again opened our doors and remain fully committed to providing a safe environment for both customers and colleagues.

“We are ensuring social distancing remains in place at all times and, for those who prefer, we continue to offer virtual viewings of motorhomes so they can see their potential vehicle of choice from the comfort of their own home.”

Travelworld – which specialises in Carado, Dethleffs, HYMER and Niesmann + Bischoff products – has achieved near record sales throughout the first quarter of the year, despite only being able to offer virtual viewings.

Now, with unprecedented demand for domestic holidays, there is an expectation that interest in motorhomes will remain at high levels.

Ross added “The whole team is excited to welcome our customers back into the showroom.

“We have been incredibly busy throughout the last three months and the opportunity to offer virtual viewings has been a major positive.

“However, having the chance to show customers our vast range of motorhomes is always the preferred option as it allows us to deliver the full level of outstanding service we pride ourselves on.

“With significant uncertainty still surrounding the short-term future of overseas holidays and staycations never having been so popular, we are expecting demand in our motorhomes to remain high for some time to come.”

Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld will be operating an appointment-only policy, with slots or virtual viewings available for booking by visiting https://www.motorhomes.co.uk/contact/ or ringing 01785 878787.
