Big Bucks For Cool Hymer VW Campervan

A custom-built campervan with an equally unconventional price tag has been exhibited at the recent Dusseldorf Caravan Show in Germany.

The Hymer VW Campervan, thought to be the most expensive campervan in the world at 250,000 Euros (£208,000), was built by Space Camper and given extra power enhancements from camper modernising specialists, TH Automobile.

Features Of The VW Camper

So, what sets this camper apart from the rest? The answers lie under the bonnet, or rather, the boot, where the usual contents of the bonnet should be. A 500 bhp Porsche 997 Turbo engine sits at the rear of the vehicle on top of a VW T5 Chassis.

There is also a Tiptronic gearbox offering manual or automatic gearbox control.

While there are some obvious virile qualities and performance advantages to this unique Hymer camper, there are other campers for sale which come with a more favourable asking price.

Aside from the Porsche steering wheel, black alloys and duo-tone paint work , there is little aesthetically to set this vehicle apart from others.
