Travelworld apprentice brightens children’s Christmas party with balloon-modelling talents

Last week, our new Travelworld apprentice and scout, Nathanael Elsey went along to entertain the children at The Donna Louise Children’s Christmas party. Nathanael’s balloon animals and flowers were a hit with all the children and siblings and he even showed off his impressive card tricks to the parents.

The Donna Louise children’s and young people’s hospice, based in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, supports children with life-limiting conditions, and their families too. They recently extended their services to include teens as they become young adults. Chris Belyavin, relationship manager at hospice said: “The Christmas party is an important event for our children at The Donna Louise and our play team do a great job in putting a fun afternoon together. This year’s event was even better with Nathanael there demonstrating his balloon modelling and card tricks – the children and parents had great fun!”

Attending the party with Travelworld apprentice Nathanael was HR manager, Carol Huggins who said: “Nathanael was absolutely brilliant – really compassionate with both the children and parents.” She added: “It’s great for the Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld to be involved with such a wonderful charity. We’re having a Christmas jumper day in support of the hospice this Friday and we hope to support it again with future events.”
