Below, we have compiled a short list of motorhome-friendly campsites available on the Orkney Islands, to help you and your family choose the right campsite for your needs. As always, we have selected just three of the many campsites available for you to choose from.
Ayre, Coo Road, Sanday, Orkney, KW17 2QW
Motorhomes are welcome at this campsite, with grassed pitches available all year round. The campsite overlooks the Noust of Ayre and has marvellous sea views. The facilities available include on site shop, chip shop, chemical disposal point and laundry.
Pickaquoy Road, Kirkwall, Orkney, KW15 1LR
Located close to Kirkwall, the park is situated in the Pickaquoy Centre complex and offers an outstanding range of leisure facilities. The park is open April to October and has space for 80 touring pitches which are available with electric hook up supply, chemical toilet disposal facilities and mains electricity supply. 28 of the pitches are hard standing.
Ness Road, Ness Point, Stromness, Orkney, KW16 3DW
Point of Ness campsite is pleasantly situated on the shoreline overlooking Stromness, only one mile west of the pier head and ferry. The site is open from April until September annually and guests check in between 10am and 3pm. Being on a firm, level, grassy site, Point of Ness has space for 27 pitches and 12 electric hook up points. Laundry facilities are available on site.
