Things to do in Sussex

Beaches

Brighton Beach is the most popular beach in England. The many bars, clubs, restaurant and entertainment that stretch across its seven mile length make it a bustling popular spot, the famous shingle beach is also quiet enough for you to stop, soak in the atmosphere with and ice cream or fish and chips. Hove Beach is a calmer seafront, within walking distance westerly from Brighton Beach. The beach is famous for its iconic beach huts.

Countryside

Sussex is home to the South Downs where you can take a walk through the Arlington Bluebell Walks or visit the special gardens, High Beaches, Borde Hill and Merriments Gardens.

Family Activities

There is plenty to do for the whole family. Sussex has a Go Ape adventure park situated in Crawley, or visit the Brighton Sea Life Centre which is home to over 1,500 creatures for the whole family to say hello to. Sussex has many sites of huge historical significance. Visitors cannot go to Sussex without visiting the site of the Battle of Hastings, hugely important to our national heritage.
