Automobile Brand Contest Acknowledgement for Niesmann and Bischoff Arto’s Interior

Soon after being given an Honourable Mention in the 2014 Red Dot Award, an award that recognises outstanding creative achievement in exterior design, the Niesmann + Bischoff Arto receives another accolade.

The 2014 Automotive Brand Contest has given a Special Mention to the impressive interior. The international design competition, run by the German Design Council, was created to award excellence in product and communication design. Hubert Brandl, Managing Director at Niesmann + Bischoff journeyed to Paris from Polch in Rhineland-Palatiate to accept the award, which was also attended by representatives from other premium automotive brands such as BMW and Audi.

Arto Sets New Design Standards Says Judge

The jury, made up of independent international experts praised Niesmann + Bischoff for their work. Professor Andrea Lipp, Dean of the Transportation Interior Design Faculty at Reutlingen University commented: “The decision to enter the Arto motorhome shows exemplary courage in the face of tough competition from an automotive industry far better equipped to showcase their brand with a perfectly designed product in a minutely co-ordinated setting”. She continued, praising the Arto’s achievement in the category ‘Interior Premium Brand’, “The attractive and aesthetically high-class interior of the new Arto sets new standards in motorhome design”.

Commenting on the jury’s decision being more than a mere recognition of the company’s work, Hubert Brandl said: “We are the first motorhome manufacturer to win this award. That’s amazing. We are naturally thrilled to receive it, and it will spur us on to continue setting our stamp on the market. The Automotive Brand Contest has a high status value, given that it represents the judgement of experts from a wide variety of fields.”
