Driving Advice

Here at motorhomes.co.uk we are more than happy to offer advice on the best way to become comfortable in driving your new motorhome whether you are buying or renting.  This can range from simple instructions during handover explaining the cab and chassis features right up to advising on the best way to proceed with taking your HGV commercial vehicle licence, thus allowing you to drive the very largest of American RV’s.

Most of our rental fleet is rated at 3,500kgs so there is no problem with driving licence requirements (this needs to be clarified when booking as some are over 3,500kgs so will require the 7,500kgs licence).  It is only American motorhomes that will ever exceed the 7,500 kgs licence boundry and this places them into the C1 category or HGV as its commonly known.

We work closely with local commercial test centres who can offer detailed advice and even professional driving lessons for those who want complete piece of mind before taking to the open road.  These lessons can be taken in a standard commercial vehicle or even in your own motorhome.
